Ambient documentation is becoming a distribution battle rather than a speech-recognition contest. The model that turns a consultation into a draft note is increasingly available. The scarce capabilities are enterprise rollout, trustworthy integration, clinical governance, and proof that the system returns more value than it costs.
Heidi's announced financing package makes that change visible. The company raised a $100 million Series C led by Blackbird and paired it with up to $240 million from General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund. The two pools should not be collapsed into a conventional $340 million venture round: one is equity for the company, while the other is structured to finance customer adoption and deployment.
