The Signal Index
Methodology
How we build, score and maintain the HealthTech Signal rankings.
Top 100 HealthTech Startups
The Signal Score is a composite of five weighted signals. Our research desk gathers public funding data, regulatory filings, published evidence, hiring signals and brand visibility, then scores each company against the same rubric.
Total raised, quality of investors and recency of the last round.
Revenue trajectory, customer count, hiring and market pull.
Peer-reviewed evidence, FDA/CE clearances and live health-system deployments.
Founder track record, clinical depth on the bench and technical leadership.
Search presence, press coverage, founder and brand reach, and how often the company shows up where buyers look.
Figures are estimates. If something looks wrong, .

Editions and archives
At the end of each month the live ranking is frozen as an archived edition. Past editions remain available and unchanged. Profiles stay evergreen: a person or company that drops out of the current list keeps their page, badged with their last ranked edition.
