Legacy IVDR Class C transition ends

About this milestone

Under the same IVDR transitional extensions, qualifying legacy Class C devices (for example certain infectious disease or cancer tests that require notified-body involvement) have an extended transition ending 31 December 2028, provided manufacturers meet the QMS and application conditions set out by the Commission.
